SAS Wayagri was supported by the Chamber of Agriculture in drawing up its Business Development Plan (PDE). The support continued until a Young Farmer Grant (DJA) was obtained. Once the works phase was reached, the partners called on NovAmazone to support them in the technical choices for developing their plot.
Using the topographical and soil data of the 8 ha site, we first designed a development plan. This plan allows the company’s partners to better envisage how their land will be brought into agricultural use.
NovAmazone then supported them in overseeing the clearing and development works carried out by a specialist contractor they had chosen beforehand. These clearing and development works followed the recommendations of the optimised agricultural clearing specification issued by the DAAF. Some timber was kept and put to use for the project’s construction needs.
NovAmazone also supported them in choosing cover crops and organic and mineral amendments to meet crop needs, and in the layout of the crops while optimising sunlight and maintaining the natural flow of surface water.
Today, a little under 2 years after the first works and plantings, the plot is productive. The first results are encouraging for the development of SAS Wayagri’s activities.
